The self titled album from Brooklyn’s Caveman was surely one of my favorites of 2013, combining heavy- almost tribal rhythms with expansive guitar work, soaring vocals and lush harmonies. I was caught off guard by their date at the recently opened Cat’s Cradle back room but was determined to make it. The performance was relaxed but energetic, moody and comic- somehow all at the same time. I like everything about the Cradle addition (smaller room, balcony, whiskey available), except that 20 minute drive.
Photos and music after the jump.
